Hi there! Welcome to Pandora’s Deals! I’m Lindsay, the writer and chief deal seeker here. A lifetime ago, which is about 10 years in my book, my husband and I were a dual-income, no-kids family. When my daughter was born I stopped working outside the home to take on a more important job: Mommy. It’s the very best job ever, but Mommy doesn’t come with a paycheck, and not only did my addiction to shoes have to take a back seat, but we had to really look at how we could go from living on two full-time incomes to only one. In early 2011 my husband and I sat down to look at our finances, really take a good look at where our money was going. We realized we were spending waaaay too much money on groceries. I had always taken an occasional coupon with me to the grocery store if I happened to have one for something on my list, but I didn’t really know how to use coupons so that they’d make a significant difference in my weekly grocery bill. I decided to figure out how to coupon like a pro. If other people could do it so could I, right?! And I was pleasantly surprised to learn that it’s not rocket science, you don’t need to spend 40 hours a week on it, and you don’t need to devote a room in your house to your stockpile. (Mine sits on 3 shelves along a short wall in our basement.) I still remember the feeling I got the first time I walked out of CVS with a bag full of products that I didn’t pay a dime for. AWESOME!
Now more than a year later I have completely changed the way I shop not only for groceries but for everything. It’s made a huge difference for our family, and it can make a huge difference for yours, too. Anyone can learn to coupon and once you rock your first deal, you’ll never go back to paying full price. When I’m not blogging, I’m busy with my most important work: being a wife and mom to two awesome kids. Lucky me, my husband is multi-talented and can do everything from write code for my site to build shelves for my stockpile. He rocks. 
My sweet little boy who somehow earned the nickname Benson is 3. He stays home with me and we spend lots of time doing puzzles and racing cars and trains. My fantastic daughter, affectionately known as The Bee, is almost 7 and in first grade. She’s an amazing artist and our house is covered (drowning, maybe?) in her beautiful drawings. We stay busy having fun, making memories, and growing together. We also have two cats and a dog, all former strays. We’re a bunch of softies for animals without homes, one more thing I love about our family. I just hope we don’t find anymore. We’re at capacity at the moment!
