I whipped these Sweet & Spicy Tuna Tacos up for lunch today and they were a huge hit with my crew!
I just love pretty food, don’t you? Colorful dishes are so much more appetizing.
I used StarKist Tuna Creations Single Serve pouches to make this dish and I am really loving these. They make adding some healthy protein to a meal so quick and easy. For these Tacos I used the Sweet & Spicy Tuna which has the most delicious flavor. I’m actually not too big on spicy stuff and I loved this tuna. It’s got a bit of kick but I’m not really even sure I’d call it spicy. Flavorful? Definitely. And they’re healthy too: Only 90 calories, high in protein and Omega-3s, and low in fat. Check out all the flavors available on the StarKist site and be sure to follow on Facebook and Twitter to be the first to hear about their newest products!
I used some ingredients that I had on hand for these tacos (which might actually be more like burritos!) and you can feel free to throw in whatever ingredients are handy for you.
Tacos are great because everyone just add what they like and leave off whatever doesn’t strike their fancy. That makes them a hit with everyone, kids included, which is a huge bonus for me. We all get what we want! How often does that happen?!
I folded mine up like a burrito to keep it from falling out the end but you can dig in with a fork or chow down however you see fit! These are delish AND healthy!
Enjoy!
Sweet & Spicy Tuna Tacos On a serving platter arrange all your ingredients so everyone can grab what they like for their taco. Add whatever other toppings you like: shredded cheese, sour cream, lettuce, olives, anything at all! I folded my taco up like a burrito so it wouldn't spill out the end. Just place all your fillings sort of in a line in the middle. At one end of that line fold the end up, then fold the sides in over it.Sweet and Spicy Tuna Tacos
